Yes. Paste a video URL or register a channel, and the AI analyzes it into a structured knowledge note on its own. Each video is classified into one of eight types (framework, tutorial, analysis, review, book, talk, explanation, news) and the note takes the structure that fits it.
A summarizer answers "what did this one video say?" and the answer is gone when you close the tab. Stacktube watches channels for you, classifies each video into one of eight types, and writes a structured note into the place you already keep knowledge — so it accumulates and stays searchable across videos instead of being read once.
Install the official Obsidian community plugin (Stacktube), paste your API key once, and notes sync straight into your vault. [[Wiki-links]] and YAML frontmatter are supported, so backlinks and graph view work as usual. Obsidian sync starts at the Pro plan; Starter delivers via web and email. Routing through a cloud folder (Google Drive or Dropbox) is available as a fallback.
The Starter plan gives you 10 analyses a month for free. Pro is $7.99/month for 50, and Max is $19.99/month for 150. If no note gets made, the analysis is not deducted.
Any video with YouTube auto-captions works at any length — long-form academic lectures from MIT OCW or Stanford Online process normally. Without captions at all, we fall back to a lightweight analysis from the title and description.

Yes. As long as the video has captions, any source language works — English, Japanese, Korean and more. You choose the language your notes come out in (English, Japanese, or Korean), or set it to follow your site language automatically.
No. If no note gets made, we don't deduct an analysis. Only analyses whose results are saved are counted.
Notes arrive as Markdown with [[wiki-links]] and YAML frontmatter, so they join your existing graph instead of living in a separate app. Register a channel once and the vault keeps filling itself. Cross-Video search (Pro and above) then answers questions across everything you have collected.
Kindle: add our sender address to your approved list and notes arrive as personal documents. reMarkable: notes are delivered to Google Drive or Dropbox, and reMarkable's own sync picks them up — Settings carries a setup guide with three routes (automatic, semi-automatic, manual) depending on how hands-off you want it.
